Horton Fields

Horton, Near Wimborne.

Horton Fields was created by Harry J Palmer upon the site of a former dairy and farmyard in the heart of rural East Dorset.

The development consisted of three substantial Houses built to replicate the original barns on site.  Each House is sympathetic to the original structures, with both the bricks and roof tiles being reclaimed from the original barns.  Attention to historic details has been uppermost; the brickwork being in Flemish Bond with a limed putty mortar, and the windows bespoke and double glazed to match the fenestration of the original barns.

The development is located in the village of Horton which lies to the South of Cranborne Chase and to the North of Wimborne Minster.  There is easy access to London via the A31 and an intercity rail link from Southampton Parkway with an hourly service to London Waterloo.  The area is well known for it’s sporting and recreational facilities, with local golf at Rushmore and Remedy Oak, sailing in Poole Harbour and riding locally or in the New Forest.
