In September 2020, the Company commenced on the construction of ten semi-detached 2 and 3 bedroomed homes in the pretty West Dorset Village of Mosterton. The homes were located on the fringe of the Village with outstanding views to the surrounding hills.
The Company purchased the site in 2018 with outline planning permission for 10 market dwellings.
In working with the Local Authority to establish detailed permission on the site, Managing Director May Palmer was keen to explore the possibility of providing all ten units as affordable homes for local families.
We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Dorset District Council to ensure that all the houses could be provided through LiveWest Housing Association, and that the site could be delivered as affordable housing, provided through both affordable rent and shared ownership sale.
All ten homes were handed over to LiveWest Housing Association in December 2021.
Mosterton lies just 3 miles north of Beaminster and 2 miles from the railway station at Crewkerne, which is on the Western England Mainline from Waterloo to Exeter. The Village itself is thriving, with a range of services available, from the Admiral Hood village pub, the Parrett and Axe Church of England Primary School, St Marys C of E Church and Mosterton Village Shop.
